Hey,
I may not be too bright, so that's why I'm asking this question, and I'm sure there's someone out there who wants to show off his knowledge, so please answer this.
I have an Imac with a cd writer. Is there any program where I can put a dvd in the cdrom drive, put a blank dvd-r in the cd writer and press record?
Thanks

nope...CD-burners can't write on DVDs
edit--and you would also have to have a DVD-drive to read the DVDs, your cd-rom wouldn't cut it -
CD Burners can't read or write a DVD, but you can pick up a DVD drive for about $30-$60 and then burn the image the DVD drive reads to a VCD(CD-R) by using a few free programs. CladDVDxp to TMPG2 to VCDEasy is a good way to start.
