  1. I have a lot of 23,976 movies and want them in 25...and i also want the audio to be 2ch surrond2 .Want your opinion about my procedure..
Load cd1 in virtualdub and append the cd2, change the videoframeratecontrol to 25fps.Save it all as an avi (video audio = direct stream copy).Open the avi choose save wav in directstream. Rename the wav to ac3, fix it with ac3fix...then convert it to mp2 in Headac3 as an downmix type 2ch surrond2 (the original audio is in 5channels).Load the cd1cd2.avi again in virtualdub ,choose no audio add my subs (in25fps) and then framerate to TMPGEnc....finally De-multiplex the mpeg2 and then multiplex the mv2 with the 2chsurrond2 audio file in bbMpeg...

  2. I am not into audio, so I only comment on video part. Your procedure is a little too redundant, all those appending, saving, demuxing, remuxing stuff. They are not really necessary. You can do it in one step to produce video stream you want and you need Avisynth to do that.

The script is like this: splice together cd1 and cd2, ChangeFPS filter, Subtitle Filter (maybe should be before FPS change), then frameserve to encoder. No intermediary files and very fast.
