Pioneer A04/104 FW 1.31 or 1.33 or stay??

Hello People

Since I'm very new to DVD Burners I would appreciate some of your helpful advice on the following.

Just installed my DVR-104 and has the 1.20 fw. I have read quite a few posts and am starting to get alittle confused.
Do I stay with 1.20 or go to 1.31 or go to the latest 1.33.
Also after I download the firmware to apply it, is it as simple as running the 'exe' file??? or do i need a special utility to do this??

my 104 burns cheap media with nero/dvd workshop
at 2X, compatable with both of my settops, a sony
and a sampo620

But they say,use at your own risk...
