I posted this in nerd-out as well but I'm looking for a hopefully quick reply..
I'm not new to technology but my first DVD player is an apex 1110w. When playing certain disks (like mp3 cd's), there is a barely audible but definite 'chirp', about once a second, coming from the unit. I'm guessing this is probably just the laser head being moved around or something inside the unit, and probably typical with every 1110w. I mean, after all, they are cheapest DVD players you can get.
So, am I crazy? Is my 1110W 'broken'? Does everyone's 1110W do this? Do other DVD players do this? I'm not really an audiophile, but these little things tend to drive me crazy.
