When I try to capture video, I get low volume. Everything is turned all the way up (line in under recording properties, master recording...). I have a whole bunch of video files that I downloaded from the net, and they have good quality audio, but when I try to encode something, the volume is way lower then in those files and lower then the volume level that exists and that I can hear when recording.
What do you do to have good quality audio? does anybody get loud audio using the Line In?
thanks

IF you've split your audio signal, it'll get weaker, I have an amp on mine... You can also normalize it later.

thank you for responding.
how do you normalize the volume in a captured avi, and/or how to you capture to video and audio seperatly, so that you can later normalize the wav file, and join it together in TMPGEnc?

Always use line-in rather than Mic, Mic amplifies the signal and usually distorts it.
I set line-in volume very low and input sound volume high, I have my sound out of the cable box split but have tried it both ways, no real difference.
What software/soundcard/connection methods are you using, this seems like an unusual problem?
