    Hi,
    This is my problem.
I have a few AVI files downloaded from Imesh.
When I load , say 'Goldmember' into Virtual dub I get a improper VBR audio stream error appear.
That's not it, I then save the WAV. Then save the Avi.
Then I load the WAV and AVI into TMPGenc.
That encodes to MPG fine. THE PROBLEM IS : Once the avi's finshed encoding, the MPG is now too big to go on a disc.
Now I've read everywhere that it's better to split before encoding, but how can I split the avi, whilst still having the VBR error in Virtual dub??
I've tried splitting the avi with VDub, then opening the 1of2 file back up in VDub, then saving the wav and avi seperatley again, but no joy.

Please help, I've got the working MPG, but can't burn onto VCD. It's soooo frustrating!!

    Thanks

    Bashyman

  2. Hi there

Iám using the cut/merge option in TMPGenc

its under file>mpgtools Merge/cut tab, do not forget to set the right type.

Iám in a Pal region and do not have any problems with splitting the files in TMPGenc
