    Hey, has anyone ever used Pinnacle Studio DV Version 8 and is it worth buying? It looks cheap and googlegear has a special on it.

    How similar is it to Premiere and what can't it do since it's so cheap?

    It's very easy to use - IMO the easiest out there. But it's limited - limited FX, limited available plugins (none, I think), and the biggie - ONLY ONE VIDEO TRACK. If this stuff doesn't matter (and for editing simple home vid, it easily may not), it's a great prog - although some people are still reporting bugs. I occasionally use it when I need to do something fast.

    But for multicam stuff, you need Premiere or (better yet, IMO), Vegas Video.
