  1. sorry if i sound a bit dumb here...

...but im not sure which category my file fits into!

because its obviously a vob file but with quite a low bitrate so its not really a mini dvd anyway is it?

my bush player plays it fine & recognises it as DVD on the onscreen display so im not sure why it wouldnt play on any other player.

Is it because of the bitrate or the media?

  2. MiniDVD is simply video authored for DVD but burned to CDR. Has nothing to do with the bitrate.

So it cannot be classified as DVD or MiniDVD until it is burned.

    Also-
miniDVD is not very compatable. Many players see CDROM as vcd, svcd,CDDA, and don't check for DVD compliance, and don't see it as as DVD authored.

Also, I've had problems creating miniDVDs with super-low bitrates. (Basically, creating an xSVCD), that some players can read and other don't.
