    Could someone point me in the right direction to convert a .AVI TO dvdr
    Please, ive done dvd to dvdr is the process the same??

    convert to dvd mpeg
    author the dvd mpeg to a dvd
    burn the dvd to dvdr

    You can use an all-in-one tool like mydvd,ulead moviefactory or use tmpgenc/cce to convert to dvd mpeg(better video quality and better control) and author and burn with any authoring tool.
