DVD emulation?

I have a 400mhz PC running Win 98. It does not have the juice to run DIVIX movies off the CPU so merl was nice enough to let me win a Hollywood DVD decoder card by SigmaDesigns. It has the power to decode DVD on the fly. I run Daemon tools to create fake DVD drives. but i cant mount a DIVIX file. If i can get it to mount then the DVD card will think its a DVD and i can play DIVIX using the DVD card. Yes I have both Nimo codex's and all other DIVIX Codex i need to play DIVIX movies. Does anyone know how i can get the Daemon to mount the DIVIX as a DVD?? If I use the DVD cards player to try to play the DIVIX all it does is like fast forward tho the movie. there is no pic at all. no sound at all. and it goes as if its playing at 8x. So... im leaving for a few days to help my uncle move. Please post any info you can offer. Im basically hoping there is some way i can get the Daemon to mount the .avi DIVIX as a DVD then i can get the DVD card to play it via the TV out and put it on the big screen TV.

Just because you mount it as a DVD does not mean your DVD decoder card will be utilised in playing it. An example, if you mounted a ps2 game, do you think it would play with your DVD decoder card just because it was mounted as a DVD ?

on a side note. since all the video signals from the PC go tho the DVD card is there a way to get it all to go via the TV out on the card?? So then i can use the PC via the TV to naigate to movies?? or is it a TV only thing??
