I have been trying to copy a pal DVD which is interlaced and have been unable to find an answer on how to correct the interlace problem. I have asked the question on quite a few forums but it appears that it cannot be done, or if it can no one is willing to tell me how. If anyone knows and can spare a few minutes to type a reply I would be very grateful.

What makes you think that your movie is interlaced? How did you verify this? All DVD's are sent to the TV by fields (2 per frame). Are you saying that your DVD is a hybrid (ie, contains both FILM and NTSC content)? Or, are you saying that your DVD had some pulldown (24:1 ?) applied to bring the 24fps film up to 25fps for PAL? Some of these scenarios can easily be fixed - others (ie, hybrids) are not so easy.
Perhaps it would help if you told us what DVD you are trying to apply your "fair-use" rights to. -
Thanks for the replies guys
The problem I am having is when the DVd is played back on a TV any movement in the movie results in jerkyness.
