  1. I have successfully encoded my .m2v file down to 4.2g with mediapipe using the 3:2 pulldown. The m2v imports and plays find in DVDSP.... but I am wondering how exactly do you sync the ac3 audio up... because everytime I build the Dvd in DVDSP the audio is all out of whack.

Here are my general arguments for the m2v file...

    ppmtoy4: -v 0 -S 420_mpeg2 -I p -F 120000:4004 -A 8:9
    mpeg2enc: -v 0 -f 8 -F 4 -n n -a 2 -b 4700 -I 0 -r 16 -q 1 -Q 2 -p -s -M 2

Being the dvd I am backing up is a foreign film... I am also wondering how do you import a .spc subtitle track into DVDSP that was demuxed from OSEX and is there anything special I have to do to it to sync it right?

    Thanks

using mediapipe with those arguments wont necissarily always work (if ever, for now) to succesfully sync audio and video-

there are plenty of guides and lots of software on my site that you can hopefully find helpful.

with regards to the .spc file that dvd studio pro extracts, they are totally useless to us, there is no way to import them into dvd studio pro or really do anything with them that anyone has discerned thus far. unfortunately crlf (author of osex) has appeared to have fallen off the face of the planet, so who knows if we'll ever get any answers about subtitle usage and that program

Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.
