  1. When I encode a DivX to VCD I get a pinkish blurring every few seconds which disappears instantly, then starts building up again. This repeats throughout the mpg and it's driving me nuts! I have win2k, 256 MB ram, P111 450 MHZ, 7200 RPM disk, ATI Rage Fury Pro, TMPGEnc Beta 12i.
    Any ideas?

p.s. The pink seems to concentrate on people and not objects, like a nasty rash lol.

  3. Thanks Baldrick (black adder fan?).
That was exactly my problem! I can't believe the time I've wasted encoding all those pink elephants lol. Is this a common problem then or are you just really switched on?
Am I likely to ever need the Angelpotion codec again or can I bin it?

  4. Get rid of it completely! It is the worst. Just install the DivX 4 codec or the old 3.11 alpha one. Then get the SMR patch.

  5. Ok, so I've installed the smr patch and uninstalled angelpotion codec. Problem now is that some movies will not play. When I open the file with Virtualdub and click file, file information, the decompressor is listed as "Microcrap MPEG-4 Video Codec V3." What can I do do play these movies?
    Thanks.
