  1. I have captured using the AverTV203 software to capture Mpeg2 full screen. It will not import into Spruce Up. It just hangs the Spruce Up software. Anyone any ideas?

    thanks

I had a similar problem ages and ages ago. It went away when I started capturing on the ATI using MMC7 but that doesnt help you

SO... try demuxing the mpeg file into .m2v and .mp2, make sure they are named the same apart from the extension

    e.g. fred.m2v
    fred.mp2

and in the same directory. Spruce UP is happier when importing component streams rather than multiplexed files. If you need to demux and dont have any s/w then get the free version of TMPGENC and go to tools/mpeg tools/basic demux

    Hope that helps

  3. Thanks for your help

I am already taking the captured file and putting it through TMPGENC to create a file for Spruce Up. That is the only way to get it working.

However on capture I am using the same settings for picture, frames, audio etc as the file TMPEGENC is making but it does not work. I was really looking for a way to take TMPEGENC out of the equation as the free version does not allow you to generate MPEG2 files without paying for the licence - which I do not want to do.!!!!
