  1. EVERYTHING WAS WORKIGN FINE -- I HAVE BEEN MAKING AND BURNING VCDS FOR A WHILE WITH NO PROBLEMS THEN - I TURNED ON MY COMPUTER THIS MORNING AND IT WILL NOT READ OR COPY ANY VCDS - EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING FINE - THE BURNER WORKS ON EVERYTHING ELSE AND THE CDROM WORKS FOR ALL OTHER DISKS BUT VCDS. I FORMATTED AND REINSTALLED AND THAT DIDN'T HELP- ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE VERY HELPFULL AS I AM RUNNING OUT OF HAIR TO RIP OUT!

  2. Hi,
I have a similar problem except that it is not my drive in my computer but my dvd player. My old vcds work but the new ones I have burned are very chopping and the dvd player spins and spins during playback...

Is this an issue with the burner? I would be very interested in any replies to this issues as well

    Thanks

  5. Can you still find and copy your dat files ?

Did you recently added quicktime player ?
That is a common source of problem.

  6. Exactly what error do you get when attempting to read the VCD? Will they show any files using Explorer, show a disk volume label, anything?
If you can see files but they don't play, its a codec or software problem, most likely. See if you can manually load and play the video file from the CD, assuming you can see files.
