hi all,
was contemplating whether to get a new HD...trying to cut back on expenses....was wondering...in view of the ripping and the conversion...wat's the max HD space tat's used for say an ave 2.5 hr dvd movie?? I understand during conversion...there are lotsa temp files being created...jus wanna find out how much HD space's enuff

probably 8 or so gigs depending on the movie length. Consider though if you ever want to capture from TV or VHS that takes a LOT of room. Hard drives are cheap right now go 60 gigs plus.

Depends on how you do it, as little as 2 gigs, to as much as 10-20 gigs.
