  1. ...REALLY APPRECIATE IT.....

    ok, i downloaded a video...SPIDERMAN..... non-interlaced 4:3 525 line (NTSC 704x480)....i no its in VCD format, i wanna make it a SVCD... i tried it with TMPENC but when i burned it with nero it always came out buggy on my dvd player,,, MY DVD PLAYER DOES SUPPORT THAT STUFF..... the file is 1.3 GB, i only tried lik 25mg on an 80min CD-rw, now wut i want to do is make aSVCD on a DVD-R cd with nero and tmpg, if someone could provide those steps id appreciate it, thanks.............

  2. this will create a dvd correct? it will need a dvd writer as well? i have a dvd writer, will nero automatically detect it and use it as a dvdrw?? i really dont feel like messing up more dvd-r's so is this info all correct?

  3. If you have a CD burner, and the original is
    non-interlaced 4:3 525 line (NTSC 704x480)...
    then that SHOULD be valid for DVD-video, all you should need to do is author it. Use one of the many gudies in the authoring section of this site.

    although 704*480 IS a valid resolution for DVD video. some authoring apps will not accept it and want 720*480. In that case you could try DVDPatcher, or re-encode with TmpGenc. Again, look to the guides or search the forum for more info.

  4. why not just rip the DVD and encode straight to DVD compliant mpeg for DVD-R or CVD mpeg2 for SVCD?
