Burn VCD, problem in Player

I have a question.
I try to copy cd a vcd then i got a problem to view in philips vcd player.

1. using yamaha 2100e (16x10x40) using nero with speed 4x, when play in philips vcd player it's good philips vcd player is read fast. but if i try to burn using 8x, 12x, 16x the philips vcd player will read the disc is to long its take about 30 minutes to read the cd.
i also try in adaptec easy cd creator platinum.

2. using iomega 4x4x40 i burn with all speed, when i try in philips player it's also need a long time to read this cd.

3. using yamaha 8x8x24 i burn with all speed, when i try in philips player it's also need a long time to read this cd.

Can any one tell me what's wrong to my player or the best way to burn vcd movies. because if i buy a cd with burn also in computer it only take a few second to read the cd (i don't know how to burn that).

Most likely the problem is with the player - a lot of players that support VCD (commercially made) do not support home made VCD (CDR), but there is always a way around it - some media brands seem to work better some not at all, but in most cases lowering the burning speed helps a lot so most people choose the lowest speed. I've got a friend who owns Samsung DVD 511 - the manual crearly states that it plays only commercial VCDs but doesn't support CDR, however, if i use Vivastar CDR with special dye type and burn it with 4 times speed it works perfectly. I would advise to read about your particular player in this site's DVD players section - there is a lot of info on that subject.

it will read fast, because i don't know how they burn it?
The problem when i try to burn it my self ?

It's pretty strange because sometimes when i burned a vcd it took like 10min but sometimes i doesn´t

Just curious ... what's exactly the different between burning at 4x and above ?
It burns the hole (data) on cd surface deeper or else ? (i have no knowledge at all about cd burning/writter)

Technically, there should be no difference between burning at say 2x or 4x and 12x or 16x. However, it has been discovered by "trial and failure" method by different users that burning with slower speeds improves the chances that your DVD player will play your CDR/RW VCD/SVCD properly - this, of course, applies to DVD players that "aren't supposed to play CDR/RW" as their manual either does not mention CDR/RW or clearly states that it won't. For the players that support CDR/RW it shouldn't make any difference which speed you choose to burn your VCD/SVCD at. The fact that slower burning speed helps would possibly point out to a more proper burning of data onto CDR/RW if slower speed chosen.

Okey This is my situation, when ever or what ever i burn with nero its starts off and writes in 8x but the suddenly its starting to burn i 2x, Change Of Write Speed Due To Media it say's(i dont no if it does the same on other cd brands)

Try another burner. I have tried myDVD, Nero, VCDeasy and recordnow4.5. and I found it's perfect to use record4.5. Maybe depends on your CD writer.
