  1. I just updated DVD from the previous version to this most recent one. Prior to this new version, I had no problems ripping, converting, and making bin/que files and what not. I don't know if this was just a glitch coinciding with the new version or what, but I just made an attempt to encode saving private ryan and the resolution was all hosed up. The first CD appeared to have the borders (16:9 movie) on the bottom and the other 2 cd's showed the move as a block on the left hand side of the screen? I have no idea what I did wrong (did the same thing I did on other DVD conversions.

On the framserver page on the avisynth command, I have it as:
    Addborder(0,BorderTop, 0, BorderBottom)
    BicubicResize(targetWidth,TargetHeight, 0.0,0.6)

This, I believe has been the way it was in previous versions. Was this a fluke or am I missing something. I tried to use some tools to fix it, but I couldnt get even the 1st CD to work correctly???? I wish I could have included the log file for review, but as usual I deleted the darn thing.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with the new version of DVD2SVCD?

  2. AddBorder _must_ be after the resize command. Go to your frameserver tab, select AddBorders and press the Blue Arrow down.

  3. Ah! Well, here goes the next question, since I have already done the movie (I have all of the files), is there a quicker way (vs a 17 hour 4 pass on saving private ryan) to fix the border issue?

As I am typing this, I am going to do a search to see if I can find the answer on my own, but if anyone knows the quick and dirty, I'd appreciate it.

ps. DVD2SVCD, I know that you have seen and heard this from others, but I am very thankful for the DVD2SVCD program. It has really (aside from user error) simplified the DVD to SVCD/CVD process for a lot of people. I, personall, love the program.
