    I was trying to play some vcds and svcd with my friends computer. I installed PowerDVD on here computer, the video plays fine but no sound. The dat files in Windows Media have sound and picture. This is driving me nuts. She has the correct audio codec. What's the deal ?

    Did you check all of her(?) volume settings?

    And Mute is not selected in PowerDVD?
