Can't get image from blu-ray discs. Everything seems fine: menu navigation, sound and other features.
My hardware: Asus P5BDeLuxe, ATI 1950XTX, Intel E6420, 2GB Corsair Dominator, LG 2353V full-HD monitor, LG BH10LS30 BD-RW
Here goes the BD-Advisor result. Tried Cyberlink forum, but no help...

I have to wonder about the GPU. Yes, it was a monster gaming card when it came out, but it's ~4 years old now, isn't it?
I searched your card and found a mention of a problem similar to yours:
"I have x1950XTX 512mb too. Same issue - because ati's not support old videocards, and Windows 7 users, need to use special "legacy driver".
I have GeForce 6600 256mb - it's okay with TMT3 & BluRay disk's! But on X1950 - only music, and navigation on black screen witn mount BluRay disk, files and DVD playing fine."
Sorry, there was no resolution to that question.
On the decoding capabilities for H.264, VC-1, and MPEG-2, you're showing NONE. Under CPU (Hardware Acceleration): No Hardware Decoder detected.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
Ha ha ha! Sorry rilopes, but I said here in the past that with PowerDVD becoming more and more unfriendly that the only thing left that they could take away from their increasingly useless product was the ability to play BluRays at all. Guess I was right.
But seriously, yes, the Cyberlink forums are useless. PowerDVD is just crapware now. It lost all useful functionality years ago at the request of Hollywood. Each new release gets less and less functional and I am NOT kidding about that. Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre (you can demo it for fee) is ridiculously expensive, but reports we have here are that it actually works. Maybe if you look hard enough you will eventually figure out what is wrong and fix it, but if it was me, I just forget about it and get TotalMedia Theatre because at least that works. -
What do you mean, 'no image'? Is the screen black, but audio works? Maybe an overlay problem. Do DVDs play correctly with the same software player?
I agree, a video card upgrade would likely be a good choice. Most times with a slow card, you just get stuttering video. BD playback takes a lot of resources. Black screen often indicates a overlay problem. -
