New forum idea...

I've noticed that a big issue for many people is MEDIA. Most often DVD media, but CDR media also. I'd like to suggest a MEDIA forum for the discussion of all kinds of recordable optical media. This would make a perfect addition to the DVDR Media list and allow people to focus their topics in one forum.

I think that this is not bad idea. Also I would like to see some kind of compatibility chart. But that will be maybe too much to ask .

Maybe...all media posts are posted everywhere now so it may be a good idea to gather them all in one forum.

Well, there are websites completely about media. I dunno, I never had problems in my whole life but the once I bought some Memorex CDR's. They were peeling off, might have been a bad batch? Oh well. Eventually, we can make forums for just about everything we can come up with.

or in my experience, a whole set of brand spank'n new Memorex CDRWs that
were (ARE) non-readable, ie you can't read, write, or even format them!!

Actually, if you are thinking about a new item to the list: Media,
I thought of some items to include in the specifications of what to post in this
new AREA (however you word it all) below:
* CDR/DVDR/RW etc.
* miniDV, vhs, vhd-C, SVHS and others, tape media
* where to by or recommended stores/website links ( people love to shout out, "over here!" )
* latest sales on...
* cables/wires, recommended for device

Just some thoughts.
