Xvid's not working?

Hi can anybody help.Ive downloaded some movies in xvid format and for some reason they arent playing properly.Im getting a green effect and the picture is pixilating and dragging.Ive downloaded the nimo codec pack but it makes no difference.Also virtualdub cannot strip the wav and says cannot locate decompressor for xvids.Have i done something wrong with the codec.Does it seem that its not installed correctly?

Download the XviD codec, everything will be fine.

Sorry but tried that before.I followed the instructions and un-installed the old codec pack then re-installed the codec pack.There were a few parts of the codec which wouldnt install but it installed eventually but the same thing keeps happening.Green pictures and fuzzy squares,can anybody suggest anything else?.Im sure these movies used to work before i d/loaded service pack1 for xp but cant be sure?

Hi,reading on other forums people were having trouble with their xvid avi's colors bleeding together even after installing the nimo pack and they used this

the ffd codec works it has cured the green blur and tmpgnc will now encode the movie
