  1. i really need help, i am using tmpeg to encode a dvd rip onto vcd.
i have set the end file to size 750meg, but every time i encode the video it turns out with a size of 1.04gb.

i have used all the guides i can find, and re-d/loaded the software, but nothing seems to work.

    Please Help

What are your settings in TMPGEnc? Are you following the wizard or are just selecting a template? Need more info.

If you want some help you're going to have to be a little more forthcoming on some of your details. What guide did you follow? State exactly what steps you took to encode in as much detail as you can possibly provide.

  5. step by step
i started by ripping the dvd with cladvdxp, opened tmpeg, used the wizard (dvd to 1 cd), loaded the d2v file and the audio file, set the rate control to 900, set the video bitrate to 700, audio bitrate to 224, cd-r 80mins VCD, it tells me that the estimated file size will be 775meg, i name the file and dtart to encode, when it is finished after about 4 hrs, the file size instead of being 775meg it is 1.04gb.

The guide i used to set the wizard for dvd to 1 cd, is on this website under dvd rip i think

results and Very Good Quality empg-1 VCD. Is this what U are Doing.?

  7. That is what i am trying to do, but when i re-encode the video and audio, the file ends up too large to put onto 1 cd. I know it works because i have used it b4 with no problems, so i can't understand why it is going wrong now.
