  1. I'm having problems player DVD-R'S on my player. Like skipping and frezzing and sometime disc error and no disc. I have no problem playing the orignal DVD'S. Is it my player or the cheap media i'm using. I see some site saying that the Apex AD-600A playing will not play DVD-R'S. I just want to make sure it not my media, before I go buy other media or a new DVD player.

You may be able to update the loader (DVD Drive) firmaware to give DVDR compatibility. Check www.nerd-out.com/darrenk for how to do this.

If you are unable to upgrade the firmware, you might want to look at changing the loader itself, info is on the same web page.

    Cheers

I'm not a fan of Apex players,I've had three including the AD-600A and I sold all three. I found the AD-600A didn't like SVCD's and was very picky about the brand of CDR I used. The Ad-600A is a fairly old model and I say sell it on ebay(there still getting about $150. on ebay) and buy a new DVD player.
