    By the time I bought a DVD Philips 703, I was told it was already hacked for region 1 & 4. I haven’t had any problem at all with any of those regions. However, I lose the counter when playing VCDs (the DVD display turns off). I tried the Multizone RC6 hack (using code 222 222 005 255) but the display is still not working when playing VCDs. Does anybody know what my problem is?.

    It may be just how this DVD player works...

    I doubt very much than changing the region coding of you player is going to change this.
