  1. i've recently been installing a bunch of "grey market" software..

and i noticed a huge amount of bandwith leaving my comp, and i wasnt doing anything..

so i restart.. same thing.. i havent started any applications, and i dont have any autorunning.. and its not windows update, because i've customized my services..

then windrv.exe crashes and it has a little "irap more" i-mac looking icon.. and that instantly raises my suspicions.. so i search my harddrives and i find it in the windows/system32 directory...

i did a google search and i was able to find this.. http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/trojintera.html

i got rid of the virus.. but i'm still wondering where it came from.. i got a little bit of info on the file.. apparently i contracted it on halloween..

anyhow, you might want to check this out on your system..

  2. My guess is that it was thrown in as a part of that "grey market" software you downloaded. Do you run a firewall? Cause if you did, it could have told you what program was using the net and you could tell it to shut it off from outside access.

    Search Comp PM
or....if yo had a program like Roxio Go Back....you could just revert your hard drive back to before you got it
