  1. Ok! have encoded a couple of divx and xvid movie to dvd compliant mpeg2 using TMPGEnc! problem is during playback of the movies the motion seems to have a jeky motion! especially parts with large objects!
    anyone have any ideas what the best settings in TMPGEnc should be to eliminate this problem!

    Here are four problems that could've happened while you were about to encode:


    1. You set the "Motion search precision" to something lower than high quality (slow).
    2. You have a low bitrate.
    3. You changed the framerate to another framerate.
    4. You set the wrong field order.

  3. Are you using nero to burn? If so don't, i had this problem and it turns out to be nero that is make the blocky noise. Used VCDEasy perfect first time every time!

  4. problem was down to changing from one frame rate to another guys!
    someone told me that TMPGEnc wasn't that great for frame rate coversion, so set up virtualdub as a frame server and done the audio seperate with virtualdub and bsweet! that cured the problem!
