I'm getting ready to buy a DVD player. I live in the US. I'm looking at the following three players right now:

1. Pioneer 353

2. Pioneer 656

3. Philips 724

I want a DVD Player that will play VCD, SVCD, XVCD, etc. (most movie formats) and MP3. I'd like it to support long filenames for MP3 and to support MP3 on DVD (-r or +r). I couldn't make use of the progressive scan of the 656 right now, but might in the future sometime.

Any advice or suggestions? I'm looking for something with good picture quality and will play just about anything, but I'm new to all of this (but an expert PC user). Looking to learn. If there are other players I should look at, please let me know.

One last thing. Does anyone have the URL for Pioneer? I've been looking and looking but can't find it.
