  1. I'm some what new, some waht not to ripping etc., and am looking for software (pref. all-in-one-package) that will rip and compress to dvd-r size. I've seen and tried many packages but all either don't support dvd-r or limit the size to 800MB. Is there anything anyone knows of that will compress to 4.3GBish?

  3. Thanks Tommyknocker,
Been there many times-Great site for help. My problem seems to be that if I attempt to install and use programs such as DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc, etc. on thier own, I keep getting missing DLL errors or link errors. I have done MANY DVD to DVD-R 'backups' (including multiple disc burns) but have been unable to find a good compression software package to allow for longer length videos onto a single dvd-r.

Now that is a problem in and of itself. A lot of the gurus swear by those two programs. Maybe they can fix them for you and in turn fix your posted problem.
