Can anyone confirm whether the Toshiba SD210E can playback movies written to DVD-R or DVD+R disks?
I have ripped Gladiator and used MyDVD to create a DVD-R and it works perfectly. I have tried a direct rip of Italian Job (using Prassi) and it doesn't (although it plays in an Apex 1100WB). I have borrowed an SVCD to DVD rip of The Others written on a DVD+R (Ricoh) drive and it doesn't work but if I copy the disk from a DVD-ROM drive to my Vivistar it DOES work. I am extremely confused...do I need to ditch the TOSH or does anyone know a solution?

The latest info on this DVD Player is that DVD-Rs are no problem when written with Prassi DVD. I have ripped using SmartRipper (for <4.7GB) and used DVD2SVCD (for >4.7GB) and all have worked over last few weeks. Still has problems with DVD+R, but will try to get a DVD+R with bitset compatibility set at DVD ROM and post another reply soon.
