    Hello,
    I want to play a divx-movie with the 'playa'-Player. I think that I ripped and encoded it correct. But on both output-devices (monitor and tv) I have small black stripes on the left and on the right side that are disturbing me. The hight is correct. Does anyone have an idea to solve the problem?

    Hello, it's me again,
    now I think it's more my fault.
    I made another test with a movie from a friend and there are no stripes.
    I for myself encode with dvdx 1.8 and I think there I must tune a bit.
    But if anyone has a fine idea, please write!

    I think i have it.
    My encoding was good.
    But in the DIVX-Player ("The Playa") first you must switch in
    'Set Aspect Ratio' to 'TV-Aspect'. AND THEN you can switch to the
    Full Size Mode (Alt + Enter). That's much better!
    Well, perhaps it helps another divx-fan...
