  1. I've been having a world of trouble getting any sound on the TV portion of my card. It's a fresh Win2k install, SP3, w/ only winzip installed so far, and MMC 7.7.0.1, and the latest AIW drivers. For testing purposes, I'm running the cable straight from my Directv box into the AIW instead of the TV for now.

Here's what I've tried and checked:

    1) Installed drivers in the right order (video capture, video driver, dvd-7-6, then MMC 7.7.0.1). Tried reinstalling MMC several times, and made sure that when I deleted EVERYTHING, I took it out of the registry as well as any ATI reference on my HD.

    2) Opening Virtualdub from my other Hard drive

    3) Verifying that in my Soundblaster Audigy Mixer, that the recording says line-In and chosen that for my MMC TV audio input source and verified that it isn't "muted"

    4) I've tried all sorts of recording "inputs" from Line-in, "What you hear", aux in 2, and directly into the second set of imputs on my subwoofer.

The only sort of clue that I have to go on, is when I open the TV app in MMC, and I right click on the speaker icon, mono is checked, and stereo is greyed out. I'm assuming that if I can fix that, all might be well, but I could be wrong.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated and tried.

Did you install the drivers for soundcard?

Have you tried testing the line-in with something else like a walkman?

Have you tried testing the line out of AIW(hooking to speakers) bypassing soundcard?
May the force be with you.

  3. I had the same problem when I installed my AIW. However, I doubt you forgot to connect an audio cable from the AIW to the sound card like I did....
