I have this DVD-Player and have solid-ulnas unfortunately that this player no one MINI DVD´s plays, as a result I have the service simply once & support of the Tohiba hompage angemailt, and asked, whether there is not a firmwareupdate as well as does in her/it, something is this format concerns.
toshiba has answered super quickly, only not just like I it me has wished, however I becomes answer you that here stations simply once, since I think, if several people will write her/it/them up and ask about this format, they could let themselves go this matter through the head again, and we are honest however once, wär of us that this player has, 40-min become film on a 80-min of cd-r gladly about has tone with ac3!!!

The SD220E plays no Mini-DVD. A Firmwareupdate is not planned. We will refer your enamel as stimulation at the responsible product-manager however. It should technically possibly, it will be taken perhaps also with the next Firmwareupdateses into account.

many thanks to first-once over her/its/their fast answers respecting that „MINI DVD “.

I wanted to write only shortly that it is no other format as „DVD “it is only one DVD-Film gesplittet on several „CD-R´s “.

I think that that „Toshiba-220 E “2 reading-heads has, one specifically for DVD´s and one for CD-R´s, and the two set reading-routine has, he/it looks zb with DVD´s for the steward „VIDEO_TS “and there the respective * .ifo as well as * .vob files, and with CD-R´s just other stewards for zb VCD/SVCD „MPEGAV “with the respective * .dat as well as * .mpg files.

It should be purely software-dependent however, that to be able to tell CD-R-Lesekopf that also he/it after this „VIDEO_TS–STEWARDS “seeks,
and there the respective * .ifo as well as * .vob files loads and should play!!!
I wanted therefore to ask again, whether not this in a planned Firmwareupdate with could be considered, since it is no other format as DVD, it exclusively only becomes „MINI DVD “named!?

like already is communicated it no new firmware gives. At least as long as doesn't demand a such all European hyphen-ion.

The topic SVCD is however / VCD in countries like France, GB and Italy, and also others, not a so big and important feature with DV-Playern like in Germany. Generally, myself-produced media play no so big role in these countries like here.

I thank over the wiedermalige fast and competent answer of you, I must say that now separates I not only with the DVD-Player also with the service of Toshiba content is.

It is of course unfortunate that cannot first-sometimes be helped me in the point however maybe somebody has it with the next Firmwareupdate klitzeklein in the behind-head so, because these „MINI DVD´s “only gives it since short and I am myself, that very many will look around after DVD-Playern, very sure that these passes can and that would be definitely not to the disadvantage for Toshiba if your appliances also this „MINI DVD´s “supports würde/könnte!

in my eyes, I think that we could really reach something, if many people, at the best still from different countries, toshiba on this topic anmailt and asks, one can reach hardly anything, however I think I is not the single with this DVD-Player and also not the single from likes to stretch them/her/it this format would play!!!

therefore helps me and you in that you she/it anmailt, if you have done this, it doesn't really write here into the topic with it I that I the single wisely please is!!!
