  1. Hi,
yesterday I did my first DVD backup using DVD2SVCD. In general the result is very impressive and looks perfect on my standalone. But there have been some probs: DVD2SVCD couldn't find all subtitles of the DVD (Tomb Raider). Only about 10 subs were found. Any idea why this is?

The other problem is that DVD2SVCD created no bin/cue files. So I had to burn the mpeg files with NERO to the SVCD. But then I have no chapters, title picture,...

In the log of DVD2SVCD is no error. 'Image creation successful...'. But I think vcdxbuild.exe wasn't even started. The settings I used are the defaults of DVD2SVCD. I installed the complete package, so all tools are there and the paths are correct. Do I need the ASPI drivers for this or is the problem another one?

    Thank you.

  2. no need for ASPI. One way around the images is you could d/l vcdeasy and load the xml file through that way. In case you had segment mpgs for the initial and change cd screens.
As for the subtitles, I ahve had huge problems trying to rip the rocky horror audience participation subs, with no luck and no response on here either, so I suggest trying subripper programs.

  3. yes, vcdeasy is what I did. But I couldn't even find the xml file to load, so I added all the mpegs manually and created standard chapters. Do you know how the xml file should be named and where it should be located?

  4. should be in the movies folder under dvd2svcd folder in program files. You might have to click the include xml box in the finalize tab.
