I was running a ATI rage pro VIVO in windows 98SE and I could capture fine with either virtualdub or aviio. Because of file size limitations of fat32 I "upgraded" to Windows 2000. Now aviio does not work at all and Virtualdub says that no capture devices are present. I can capture using Ati`s own capture prog, but I need to get my faithfull programmes working again!! Any ideas??
Cheers Disastermaster.

Get the latest drivers for the ATI, then follow the instructions here:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/mjpeg.htm
Virtual Dub can play up sometimes - right at the bottom of the Video tab should be a list of the drivers that it can use. Your ATI driver should be listed.
p.s. make sure you've chosen the correct video source too!
Best wishes,

DisasterMaster,
You and I did exactly the same thing for exactly the same reason using the same card. Guess what we got exactly the same problem. It has to do with the WDM drivers. In order for Vdub to work you need to install the VFW2WDM wrapper to get yourself back working again. This was given to me by gll99 on this site. He sent me to this site to get the right file. Just choose the W2K and install the ".inf" file and all should be fixed. Try this url http://shopgeo.virtualave.net/wrapper.zip
Worked for me.
