I am wanting to find out, would increasing the RAM from 1X512Mb PC2100 Ram, to 2X512Mb PC2100 RAM make it so the time to back up one of my dvd's was reduced? If not what would I need to be bigger and better to make it so that it was able to be made to VCD quicker than what it does now. Because currently, with Smart Ripper, that goes through fairly quick, then DVD2AVI takes a bit longer, and then when it comes to the TMPEG Enc, it takes many hours to do.
Any help on this issue is appreciated.

the RAM update will surely make it faster... i'm sure about that. But, if you want it much faster, you're gonna have to get urself a new(and faster) precessor...
