Hi,
Quick question:-
AMD 1.2Ghz Athlon, 384mb ram, UDMA6 ATA133 HD.
Vid cap card = ATI Radeon 8500AV
VirtualDub ver.1.4.10
I can successfully capture at 720*576 @ 25fps and with filtering turned off get 50% Cpu usage and virtual no dropped frames in 90 mins of capture. I'm also using PicVideo MJPeg compression.
Turning on filtering and picking any from the list (or even having none loaded!) will render 97% to 98% cpu usage, mega amounts of frames dropped giving an output of roughly 3fps. I dropped the res down to 320*240 and it wasn't much better.
Results is I can't use filtering!
Any ideas?
Ian.

Thats normal, Filters in Vdub are pretty much useless unless you are using them with already captured video. I even think the Vdub Readme mentions it's not recomended to try to capture with them on.
