    I am attempting to use BBmpeg for multiplexing and cutting. However, it crashes bigtime! Black screen--automatic system reboot! This first occurred when I tried to run DVD2SVCD. I then downloaded BBmpeg independently with the same results.

    I have learned that this occurs only when using XP. When running under Win98SE, it's OK. I have downloaded the recommended XP dll with the same results. I also tried a "fix" recommended by one forum member to "click Load under Input and then cancel". Still no luck.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    v1.24beta 18 works fine for me under xp.

    Tried again to run BBmpeg--this time under my default XP operating system (I have another just for video stuff to speed things along). This time it worked. While this doesn't solve the problem, it does narrow the search to something in the other video-only OS that conflicts with BBmpeg.
