Process is as follows (all done with MGI Videowave 4):
- capture DV with 1394 card to AVI: no problems, audio in synch with video
- create a storyboard and paste pieces of multiple captured AVI files. When playing the resulting storyboard: no problems, audio in synch
- Produce the storyboard to DV AVI => audio is ok in the beginning, but gets more and more out of synch: after 10 minutes it's almost a second off.
How can I prevent this??
Thx,
Chris.

This is a well-known defect in Videowave. Recently, there have been indications the maker is finally looking into a fix, but for now we're still waiting.

Hi Chris,
MGI Videowave is really bad program. "Audio out of sync", re-encoding of DV-AVI input instead of "smart rendering", outdated weak MPEG-2 encoder – these are examples from the long list of severe Videowave’s problems.
Do not start to fight with Videowave - do not waste your time – use another tool.
FYI, I have a few months experience with MGI Videowave 3, 4 and 5 on two different hardware configurations.
Mark.
