Is there a way to make a HQ VCD in FFmpegX.
Plus when i try and make a standard VCD a white bar flicks on and off whenever there is a rapid change of picture. Please let me know the settings or how to fix that. Thanks

Try raising your bitrate above where you have it set now. That should take care of the high motion problem as well as your poor picture quality.

    Keep it below 1500.

    Thanks.
I tried that. It still comes out a bit pixely on my dvd player.
Im gonna try a higher resolution.

  4. Too high a bitrate can also be a problem for some DVD players.

Are you trying to make an HQ VCD (as in one of the proposed Chinese MPEG-2 standards to supercede the VCD), or are you just trying to make a VCD with higher quality video?
