    Someone please help me, I used the mpeg tools on TMPGEnc to join 2 dvd compliant files into 1 single mpeg2 file. When i try to open the file i get an erro message says "cannot open or unsupported file" and its the file i just made with TMPGEnc that i joined together from 2 files! ? I dont understand why it does not want to open it, so then i try virtual dub and it wont open it either, any suggestions please ?

    Although TMPGEnc has an MPEG2 encoder, it does'nt have an MPEG2 decoder, so for TMPGEnc to open MPEG2 you need an MPEG2 decoder present on your system. Virtualdub does not support MPEG2. For an MPEG2 codec, check the tools section on this site.
