I have created VCDs that will play in my PC but will not play in my Philips 953 player. I've used both MGI VideoWave and TMPGEnc to convert the file from AVI to MPG. Used the standard 352x240 resolution, NTSC setup in TMPGEnc. CD plays in PC via Windows Media Player fine. Philips DVD player is compatible with both CD-R and CD-RW disks, but when CD-R creation is inserted into the DVD player a screen says MP3 files are unavailable. It appears as if the player thinks the CD is an MP3 disk instead of a VCD. According to the specs, the player will play DVD, VCD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 disks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
