My thing is that, i don't like the thought of them executing the 17 year old. Because he may have been coerced or tricked, and just the whole principle of killing a minor is appaling and against international law.

Coerced? He must have been the get-away driver, in which case all he had to do was step on the gas as soon as the sniper got out!
As for his age, I'm sure that there were others his age fighting in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam etc - so him being a 'minor' doesn't wash with me.
Remember, a 13 year old kid was nearly murdered too.

I like the idea of them killing a 17 year old. If they put him in jail, he will still be young enough to commit more crimes when he gets out. Plus 17 is plenty old enough to be tried as an adult. Even if were an 8 year old I still say execute him. Like Howard Stern alwaya says What do you do when a puppy bites? You put it to sleep!
