    this program will extract straight to svcd among many other options it has... its based on several different linux programs that need to be compiled for it to work. transcode needs to be ported to darwin, and some of the other programs made need to be too, but you can get passed the first compiling step w/o transcode so i'm not certain. if someone ported this to os x we would have another VERY nice dvd ripping program in X.. not only this we would have a CLI ripper then too -- and im SURE someone would make a GUI for it.

    someone has to be capable and willing to undertake this task. Maybe a team of people--- anyways just a thought

    Do you know how to compile it and work it. I hust tried and couldn't fugure it out. Plus how would it find the dvd?

    it wont install, its already known that transcode wont compile on the mac w/o being ported first... im not sure about the rest of the binaries involved-- but im about 98% sure that the binary transcode needs to be ported.

  6. I looked at transcode several months ago, uses a lot of the componets from mjpegtools & ffmpeg. The same are currently used by MediaPipe and ffmpegX.
