Rempeg stops 99%...why??

I've finally got the thing working but when I go for a higher resolution it stops at 99%. I seen something saying this was common but it didn't go into any detail. Can anyone help ? am I going up a blind alley with this one? I have burned a few but wasn't happy with the end result.It seemed to be blocky in dark areas.

This has happened to me a couple of times too. It seems that the resulting Mpeg is ok and that the stream isn't incomplete. I just cancel out the program and use the stream with no problems. A lot of people complain about rempeg's quality but I can't see any difference when dealing with high bitrate recompresses.
