  1. I have a mini dv camcorder and want to be able to play the stuff I've recorded on my dvd player - best quality possible. How do I do this please?

  3. You have to give more details. Do you have a DVD burner? If you do, it usually comes with the necessary software.

    Assuming that you have a DVD burner and that you prefer to use different software than the bundled software, I would suggest:

    1- Freewares such as DVIO or Amcap to capture (or purchased software such as Dazzle DVD complete or Ulead DMF)
    2- TMPGEnc to encode to mpeg-2
    3- DVD Complete (or Ulead DMF) to author (set chapters, etc.).
    4- Burn with DVD complete (or Ulead DMF) or Nero

    I personally only use DVD complete and TMPGEnc for the whole process. Most software have trial versions which you should experiment with before buying.
