Alright, here's one I haven't seen. I ripped a movie, and encoded the audio with toolame, and the video with TMPGEnc. I Mux it and play it with Media Player and the audio sync is off by about 1/2 second. I go to Vdub to get the exact offset of the audio - perfect sync. What's up with that?!! I did notice that the audio was about .312 seconds shorter (that 1/2 second) than the video. Should I cut the audio in the front and append to the end, adding the .312? or is there really a different problem at hand since VDub seems ok with it?

not really, i've had couple movies that i had to offset the audio by a little bit (i.e. 10 things i hate about you and usual suspects)...i think that's why there's an audio skew feature in the source range filter in tmpgenc
