  1. Hi all,

    I have ripped a 2 minutes long sample from harrypotter (DVD Pal) and
    encoded it to a xvcd at 850kbit video and 192kbit audio.

    The bitrates used as above is the lowest bitrates i will accept for quality.
    (this is only for 16:9 movies)

    For ntsc users i have framerate converted the same sample to
    ntscfilm (i hope the AR is correct, not exactly sure).

    The sample contains fastmotion scenes.

    Download here: Server is offline.

    If you have any comments about the quality or the AR on the
    ntsc sample, please let me now.

    i got the ntsc clip. i put it on a cdrw and popped it into phillips dvd724 i must admit, good quality for bitrate used. i am biased toward svcd though. but if the quality is acceptable to you, i say good work.
