  1. at the bottom it always says aspi seems valid:no and when i try to burn it says ERROR: Cannot set write parameters mode page. Try to change the driver in using "Force Driver" in the "CDRDAO settings" page
    ERROR: Simulation failed.

  2. Since you have Windows XP you may need to install an ASPI layer - some people do not advocate using the version supplied by Adaptec but Adaptec says it works for XP and gives it for free for noncommercial single distribution.

    Some people use a program ForceASPI to do the same thing. You might do a Google.com search on this topic, read up, and make an informed decision.

    I find that making (S)VCDs with VCDeasy or TSCV and burning the bin/cue file with Nero Burning Rom to be very effective. Other methods are discussed at http://www.vcdhelp.com/burnbin.htm

  3. should i just use VCDImagerGUI.exe

    and make a bin then burn it with a program called blindwrite?

    I have not had good luck with the Adaptec drivers and VCDEasy. "Force ASPI" available in the tools section worked for me.

  5. I would use the ForceASPI ones. The new drivers from Adaptec will still be reported by VCDEasy as "no" (3-4 months ago when I used them).
